Homestead and Wolfe is the name of the group and the name of the corner streets of the Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Cupertino, California where the group subsequently came to meet (liner notes).

Originally recorded at Gold Star Studios, Hollywood, CA.

This is one of the extremely rare cases where a reissue with bonus tracks improves on the original. The two unreleased tracks that are placed as the last song on each side may be the best (and certainly most psychedelic) the band did and manage to lift a great (and too short) album into one of the eternal masterpieces; this feels just perfect and like it had to be released like this back then.
